What To Expect

Small group

Joining us for small group will be like joining a loving family for a couple of hours on a Sunday evening. We begin with a meal provided by the church members. Following dinner we spend time singing, studying the Bible and praying together. From start to finish, small group lasts approximately two hours. If you need to arrive late or leave early, that is fine. We welcome your presence for however long you are able to stay. Please see our calendar for the small group time and location this week.

Our sponsoring church

CrossFire Campus Ministry is supported—spiritually, physically, and financially—by Fairview Road church of Christ. Unlike some college ministries that are independent of a larger church family, CrossFire Campus Ministry is an integral part of the family at Fairview Road. Students are served by church members through meals together, the adopt-a-student program, and through mentoring relationships. The students in our ministry also serve the church family by teaching children’s Bible classes, helping with clean-up activities around the church building, leading devotionals, helping high school students in activities, and more. Students develop relationships not only with other students, but with many wonderful families in Columbia.

 

Who we minister to

We minister to anyone who wants to learn more about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We serve college students throughout Columbia —freshmen to graduate students. Whether you are just curious about the Bible and what it means in your life, or you have been raised in a Christian home, we welcome you to join us as we study the Bible together. We don’t have all the answers. We are seekers just like you.

Service Projects

One of our goals is to serve Columbia through college campuses as well as through other community involvement. Our service projects in the past have included serving families in need to participating in Relay for Life of Mizzou. We have also served with our church family in various service projects during the summer months. Our ministry will continue to be involved in service projects both within the community and on the college campus.

Fun Events

CrossFire Campus Ministry is a group dedicated to providing support and encouragement to members, but it is also more than that. We enjoy spending time together in social activities on a regular basis. From float trips to baseball games, to girls’ sleepovers, to progressive dinners, to movie nights/game nights we look for ways to spend time together for fun. Many times these activities are planned, so please check our calendar to see what we are doing next.
