Columbia Closing Orders and Special Issues From Brian about Employment Rights

Good Afternoon:

See attached some very important and updated information regarding the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act. If you prefer to discuss what is relevant to your specific situation or if you have questions, please give me a call, we are here to help.

1. INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYERS and EMPLOYEES.
First, you will see attached (and link) to concise information set forth in the Act covering issues such as emergency sick leave pay and time off of work under the Act. You will see a couple tweaks to what I sent out to you previously, including the fact that the effective date is now April 1, 2020 and more specific information on who qualifies for what type of time off and what type of pay.

LINK TO CONCISE INFORMATION: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pandemic/ffcra-employer-paid-leave

2. NOTICE REQUIREMENT.
Secondly, you will see attached (and also a link) to a NOTICE YOU ARE REQUIRED TO POST. Each covered employer must post the NOTICE in a conspicuous place on your premises. An employer may satisfy this requirement by emailing or direct mailing this notice to employees, or posting this notice on an employee information internal or external website. If you have more questions, see the attached Notice FAQ.

3. COLUMBIA STAY AT HOME ORDER.
I thought I would attach the Columbia, Missouri Order again as well so you would have all the informatino in one place.

There will be more updates to come, and we will pass those along when they become available.

We are here to answer your questions and navigate this crazy time. Be safe and stay healthy.

Thanks,
Brian
