What To Expect – come as you are!
If you are visiting, here’s what you can expect…
We are a church family that loves God and loves each other. We gather during worship to honor God, to encourage one another and to encounter His holy presence.
Prayer, Scripture Reading, & Preaching
You will hear spoken prayers, the reading of the Bible, and preaching in encouraging and challenging ways.
Singing
One of the unique things about Fairview Road is that the music is ‘a cappella’; that is, we sing without the use of musical instruments as we worship God from our hearts with our voices.
LORD’S Supper
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross as trays of unleavened bread and cups of grape juice will be passed to everyone. You may choose to participate or pass to the next person.
Contribution
Trays will also be passed to collect a weekly offering. As our guest, you are not obligated to donate.
Closing
At the end of his lesson, the minister will invite anyone with a spiritual need to respond. You may come to the front or go to the back and meet an Elder or minister for prayer.
What is expected of me?
We hope that you are encouraged by your time with us. You may see people choosing to honor God in worship by standing, sitting, raised hands, quietness, clapping, bowing, laughter, tears, and smiles. There is room for everyone. If you would like us to pray for you, fill out a prayer request in the green friendship books and you are also invited to complete a guest sheet.
